Bangalore IT.in opens tomorrow

The four-day event would commence from October 28 but the inaugural function is being held tomorrow.

BANGALORE: Top IT firms from across the globe will join their counterparts in India in showcasing their latest products and services in the annual tech event, "Bangalore IT.in 2006" which would be opened here tomorrow.
Around 300 Indian and MNCs, including 175 from about 18 countries and 16 state governments would take part in the exposition that would also project Brand Bangalore's IT dominance, senior officials told reporters here.
The four-day event would commence from October 28 but the inaugural function is being held tomorrow, Karnataka IT and BT Secretary M N Vidyashankar told reporters.
Among the major countries to be represented by their companies are Australia, Belgium, Britain, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Russia, Singapore, Spain and the US.
Hosted by the Karnataka government with the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), the mega event would provide a platform for interface among CEOs, CTOs, IT professionals, delegates and visitors from the world over.
The event is also seen as an "aggressive market place", for companies to showcase the latest technologies, launch new products, discuss and close business deals, sign MOUs and announce tie-ups, the organisers said.
