AP government supported Maytas, Raju's sons: Opposition
Stepping up their attack on the Congress government over the fraud in Satyam Computers, opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh today alleged that the ruling party favoured Maytas Infra, promoted by B Ramalinga Raju's sons.

HYDERABAD: Stepping up their attack on the Congress government over the fraud in Satyam Computers, opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh today alleged that the ruling party favoured Maytas Infra, promoted by B Ramalinga Raju's sons.
"I am asking the Chief Minister have you not given projects like Hyderabad Metro, irrigation projects and several others to Maytas?" TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu said.
Meanwhile, Deputy General Secretary of CPI, S Sudhakar Reddy, demanded that all allotments and projects awarded to Maytas be cancelled immediately.
"All the properties held by Satyam family directly or in Benami names should be confiscated. A task force should be appointed to enquire into the failure of regulatory mechanisms and possible frauds by similarly placed companies using the regulators loopholes," he said.
The Left party activists held a protest in Vijayawada demanding that the government come clean on the matter.
Yesterday, senior TRS leader T Harish Rao demanded CBI inquiry into the award of prestigious infrastructure projects like Hyderabad Metro to Maytas Infra.
BJP leader C Vidyasagar Rao had demanded that the government orders a commission of inquiry into the projects awarded to Maytas.
Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam Party leader Sobha Nagireddy demanded that the government issue a white paper on the projects awarded to Maytas.
