Anti-virus software in Bengali launched

NCS Computech on Saturday launched an anti-virus software in Bengali developed by the Pune-based Cat Computer Services Private Limited.

KOLKATA: NCS Computech on Saturday launched an anti-virus software in Bengali developed by the Pune-based Cat Computer Services Private Limited.
The software, `Quick Heal Bangla' has been developed in seven international languages and several Indian languages like Marathi, Telegu, Tamil, Hindi and Gujarati, NCS Computech CEO Manohar Malani told reporters here.
There are nearly 16 million users of Quick Heal anti-virus software both in India and overseas, he added.
The software works on Windows, Novell and Linux platforms and has the DNA Scan technology which enables detection of unknown spywares.
Cat Computer Services, a Rs 25 crore company, is also targeting markets in Bangladesh and is developing a software in Bengali for the purpose.
NCS is also in the process of opening a 40-seater call centre to provide support services to users.
