The event which will be moved to Hyderabad and will be held in February is expected to see a lot more global participation and will be more focussed on policy, Sangeeta Gupta, senior vice president of Nasscom told ET.
In 2017, Nasscom celebrated 25 years of organising the Leadership Forum.
"Since 1999, NILF has been held in Mumbai but since we are co-hosting the WCIT this time, it will be held in Hyderabad next year," added Gupta.
The WCIT which claims to be the Olympics of the global ICT industry was first held in 1978. To be held for the first time in India, the WCIT was organised in Taiwan and Brazil in the previous years. The government of Telengana has also partnered with Nasscom and WCIT for the event.
