3i Infotech to set up citizen service centres for Haryana

IT solution provider 3i Infotech will set up 322 citizen service centres in Haryana which would act as a single window for delivering government services.

NEW DELHI: IT solution provider 3i Infotech will set up 322 citizen service centres in Haryana which would act as a single window for delivering government services.

To roll out the project, 3i Infotech would collaborate with Haryana State Electronics Development Corp (HARTRON).

The service centres e-Disha Ekal Service Kendras would deal with issuing land record certificates, registration, pension schemes, road transport, public grievance and payment of utility bills.

"The vision of the e-Disha project is to make government services easily available to the citizens of Haryana. With the CSCs (citizen service centres) in place, citizens will be able to interact with various government offices virtually at their doorsteps," HARTRON Managing Director Varinder Singh Kundu said.

The service centres would be operated by village-level entrepreneurs which would generate employment.

Besides, the government services, the CSCs would offer value added customer services in various verticals namely, agricultural, financial, commercial services, e-commerce/ online services and educational.
