3i Infotech ties up with Goa govt on information infrastructure project
IT firm 3i Infotech Ltd on Tuesday said that it was working with the Goa Government to implement the state's integrated information infrastructure (I-3) Project.
It would build and operate the project under the State Government's guidance as a public-private partnership (PPP) project for five years, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange in a communique.
"The I-3 project is extremely unique in its vision and aims to provide a wide range of services to the citizens of Goa," South Asia Chief Operating Officer Anirudh Prabhakaran said.
"I believe that the various conveniences being made available will garner great appreciation from the people of Goa for its government," he added.
The Goa Government today also launched GoaOnline portal which would enable citizens to access services through the Internet, it said.
The project also involved the setting up of 208 Citizen Service Centres (CSCs) and a State Data Centre, it further said.
The project, a pioneering effort by the State Government, of Goa as for the first time, would provide citizens an access to a comprehensive integrated system allowing them to avail of G2C services through both CSCs as well as a web interface, it announced.
Additionally, the project would also have the capabilities to provide various B2C and B2B services, it added.
