WNS names Arjun Singh new CEO for BFSI unit
Domestic business process outsourcing major WNS on Thursday announced the appointment of Arjun Singh as Chief Executive Officer of its Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) business unit.

MUMBAI: Domestic business process outsourcing major WNS on Thursday announced the appointment of Arjun Singh as Chief Executive Officer of its Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) business unit.
Singh joins WNS from Dutch banking major ABN Amro, where he served as a Regional Director responsible for major corporate clients in 22 European countries, WNS said in a statement.
Previously, WNS (Holdings) Ltd Chairman Ramesh N Shah had been serving as the company's BFSI unit interim CEO.
WNS Global Services Group CEO Neeraj Bhargava said that the company expects to see further expansion of this growing business unit under Singh's leadership.
Singh has also worked as the quality and Six Sigma leader for Gecis (now Genpact), after starting his career with Unilever India (Brooke Bond India Ltd) and holding senior positions at ANZ Grindlays Bank (India and Melbourne).

Earlier on Wednesday, the company reported a 36.7 per cent jump in its net income and 76.9 per cent increase in its revenue for the second fiscal quarter ended September 30.The company's employee strength increased by over 1,000 people in the quarter, while its revenue growth was above target, Bhargava said while announcing the results.
The company reported total revenue of $86.6 million and net income of $6 million for the quarter.
WNS has also raised its FY07 guidance to over $208 million, from the previously estimated range of $205-208 million, while keeping its net income guidance unchanged at $30.5-32.5 million.
