BENGALURU: Puneet Chandra, chief marketing officer at India's third largest software services firm Wipro, has resigned from the company, according to two people familiar with the development.

Wipro, which earlier on Monday named Abid Ali Neemuchwala as its chief operating officer and promoted internal leaders such as GK Prasanna and Bhanumurthy BM as presidents, did not respond immediately to an email seeking comment.

Prior to his role as marketing chief, Chandra was the Vice President of corporate business services at Wipro BPO.

Chandra, who spent about 14 years at Wipro, was earlier reporting to current banking and financial services head Shaji Farooq, when he was heading the advanced technologies business.
