Wipro ready to set up traffic surveillance system in Hyderabad

Wipro has come forward to provide necessary assistance to Andhra Pradesh Government for setting up a mega traffic surveillance system in the capital city.

HYDERABAD: Software giant Wipro has come forward to provide necessary assistance to Andhra Pradesh Government for setting up a mega traffic surveillance system in the capital city.

Wipro Chairman Azim Premji met Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in the Secretariat here today and expressed his interest to associate with the State Government for taking up surveillance system in Hyderabad using 1,000 closed-circuit cameras, a release from the Chief Minister's Office said.

The system is planned to be put in place at all the traffic junctions as part of the city-level infrastructure improvement project, the release added.
