Wipro promotes BU head Anand Padmanabhan to division president

BENGALURU: Wipro has elevated Anand Padmanabhan, who manages its vertical servicing the energy, natural resources and utilities sector, to the rank of president of the division, the first such reward given by the Bangalore-based company to any of its seven business unit heads.

Significantly, Padmanabhan’s elevation – quietly made by the company at the start of the month – comes a few months after his business unit helped Wipro bag its largest outsourcing deal, worth $1.2 billion from Canadian utilities firm ATCO.
