Weyerhaeuser NR signs $30 mn deal with iGATE Patni

MUMBAI: iGATE Patni, the integrated technology and operations brand providing Business Outcomes-based solutions, today announced it has signed a $30 million contract to provide managed IT infrastructure service operations to the Weyerhaeuser NR Company, one of the world’s largest forest products companies. Weyerhaeuser operates in 10 countries and employs 14,900 people, primarily in the United States and Canada.

As a part of this engagement, iGATE Patni will leverage its world-class managed on-demand infrastructure services capability to help Weyerhaeuser’s IT organization respond to a dynamic business environment more efficiently and cost effectively. iGATE Patni will leverage its service delivery and monitoring platform to manage Weyerhaeuser’s server footprint across multiple sites and will also provide on-demand storage using a private cloud model.

Weyerhaeuser NR selected iGATE Patni two years in a row as its IT Supplier of the Year, recognizing the company for its commitment to continuous improvement and excellence within the Weyerhaeuser NR environment. iGATE Patni provides a wide range of IT services for Weyerhaeuser NR, including infrastructure management services, ERP implementation and support, application development and support services, testing-related services and business intelligence system implementation and support.

Shares of iGate Patni were being quoted at Rs 342.05 in early trade on the BSE, up 1.15 per cent from their previous close.
