One person ET NOW spoke to that the call was aimed at assuaging concerns, on a day when it's founder NR Narayana Murthy said he was distressed with the poor corporate governance of the Company.
The second person said Sikka reiterated his commitment to Infosys as CEO and asked senior members of management not to get distracted by the ongoing battle and focus on business and strategy.

Sikka's assurance comes at a time when simmering differences between the founders and the board of India's second largest software exporter have come out in the open on a number of issues- high severance pay handed out to former executives such as Rajiv Bansal and David Kennedy, Sikka's compensation increase and Punita Sinha's appointment as independent director.
The original promoters hold 13% in the company, with the balance held by institutional investors and the public shareholders.
Sikka is also scheduled to meet investors in Mumbai on Monday.
