HYDERABAD: In the midst of the Telangana unrest, the Hyderabad Software Exporters Association today expressed concern over the recent developments in Andhra Pradesh and its impact on the industry.

Hyderabad Software Exporters Association (HYSEA) President Narsimha Rao in a statement said that some of the incidents, in which IT/ITES companies were targeted in Hyderabad and Vizag recently, would dent the confidence of employees, customers and investors.

It has the potential to severely impact the brand of the state as a destination for IT and impact our growth prospects, Rao said.

"In this scenario continued uncertainties around possible disruptions to business operations and public life will weaken our brand further," he added.

He also said the industry provides services to global customers 24x7 from centres in the state and it needs support from the government authorities to restore confidence and normalcy and assure a disruption free and safe environment for everyone.
