Telangana clocks 4% higher growth in IT exports than national average
"We have shown impressive results in terms of IT exports and employment, and for the 3rd year in a row, the growth is significantly more than the national average growth."

“We have shown impressive results in terms of IT exports and employment, and for the 3rd year in a row, the growth is significantly more than the national average growth,” said IT minister K T Rama Rao in the annual report. “However, while we have positive developments of our state, on the one hand, we also need to monitor some of the worrisome global trends closely.”
While the government also launched their digital wallet along with the annual report on the eve of the state’s third anniversary, they expect 2017-18 to be the year in which the last batch of new initiatives to get launched. “Some major initiatives that we can look forward to this year include T-Hub Phase -II, T-App Folio (m-Governance Platform of Telangana), Mee Seva 2.0, T-Works, IMAGE towers, to name a few,” he added.
The government is also creating IT hubs in tier-II locations like Warangal, Khammam and Karimnagar districts with an aim to create more IT destinations in Telangana apart from Hyderabad. The Phase-II IT Incubation Centre at Madikonda is expected to be operational by the end of 2017 and IT incubation centers will come up in Karimnagar and Khammam Districts with plug and play facilities.
