MUMBAI: Tech Mahindra said it had opened a new centre in Ireland that would employ about 150 engineers in three years.

The IT company has about 700 full-time employees working in projects for its Irish customers, about 320 of whom are based in Ireland.

“This investment is a testimony of our long-term business commitment in the country and our mission to promote and support local talent leveraging Ireland’s rich skills in science and technology,” C P Gurnani, CEO & MD of Tech Mahindra, said in a statement.

The centre, which will be operational in the first quarter of 2017 will focus on emerging technologies such as Robotics and Automation, Business Analytics, Cloud Infrastructure and Digital Services.
