TCS to provide finance and accounting platform to Scandinavian Airlines

The country's largest software firm, however, did not reveal the financial details of the agreement.

NEW DELHI: Tata Consultancy Services ( TCS) has signed a multi-year agreement with Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) for providing its finance and accounting (F&A) platform to the air carrier.

"The F&A platform, with its metrics driven delivery model, will assure SAS of accuracy, timeliness and total control over financial processes," TCS Platform Solutions Global Head Raj Agrawal said in a statement.

The country's largest software firm, however, did not reveal the financial details of the agreement.

SAS is Scandinavian region's largest airline and has operations in over 30 countries, it added.

The platform provides pre-built and pre-configured financial processes and tools. It will be provisioned under a cloud model including infrastructure, applications, IT maintenance and multiple platform developments over the duration of the engagement, the statement said.

"The selected TCS platform addresses the key objectives SAS defined from the project's inception - to simplify, standardise and automate processes with one solution instead of multiple solutions, as well as to integrate best practices and drive productivity improvements," SAS Group Vice President Back Office Systems Håkan Borglund said.
