TCS exclusive IT consultancy for 2012 Bank of America Chicago Marathon

NEW DELHI: Country's largest software services firm Tata Consultancy Services today said it has been appointed as the exclusive IT consultancy for the 2012 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

The marathon will be held on October 7, 2012. This is the third consecutive year, TCS will sponsor all three major US marathons, including 2012 Boston Marathon (April 16) and 2012 ING New York City Marathon (November 4), a statement said.

TCS has partnered with the Chicago Marathon to sponsor and enhance the information areas that will be posted throughout the Marathon weekend at both the Bank of America Chicago Marathon Health and Fitness Expo and Grant Park, it said.

To further support the partnership, TCS is introducing the 'Bank of America Chicago Marathon App Powered by TCS', it added. "Our continued sponsorship of the three major marathons in the US reflects our company-wide support of individual well-being, excellence and achievement," TCS President (North America, UK and Europe) Surya Kant said.

All proceeds raised by Team TCS at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon will go to the American Diabetes Association, it said.
