Sundaram Infotech bags multi-year contract from US firm

CHENNAI: Sundaram Infotech Solutions, the IT division of non-banking finance company Sundaram Finance Ltd, has bagged a multi-year onsite-cum-offshore contract from a US-based firm for an "undisclosed sum".

The Chennai-based firm did not disclose the name of the company.

"Sundaram Infotech will design and develop a high-level vertical software solution for the US firm using Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP platform," the company said in a statement today.

Sundaram Infotech, from its offshore facility in the city, would carry out work related to the development of modules, while consultancy work would be undertaken on-site.

"Sundaram Infotech was chosen ahead of stiff competition from both domestic IT companies as well as US firms based on its established vertical software solution engineering capability and deep technical expertise in Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP," Sundaram Infotech CEO Deepa Ramesh said.

Sundaram Infotech provides ERP solutions in manufacturing, retail, distribution, trading and logistics, automotive and IT solutions for retail lending in financial services sector.
