Sankara starts IT finishing school

COIMBATORE: To bridge the gap between demand and supply of IT professionals, the Sankara Educational Institutions has launched an exclusive IT finishing school — Sankaram Infotech Training (SITL). Oracle has already approved SITL as its authorised training partner.

SITL aims to keep candidates industry-ready as a majority of the graduates today are unsuccessful in their attempt at getting a job, are not industryready, and fail to get through technical tests and subsequent interview rounds, said TK Pattabhiraman, chairman, SITL.

Stating that the course at SITL would not be just another training programme but a package to develop young professionals to global standards and requirements, he said that those enrolled at the finishing school would have to undergo six months of fulltime training.
