Royal Bank of Scotland acquires 9.89 pc in Excel Infoways

MUMBAI: BPO firm Excel Infoways today said the Royal Bank of Scotland Group has acquired 9.89 per cent stake in the company for an undisclosed amount.

"RBS NV (London Branch) has acquired 9.89 per cent shares (3.10 lakh shares) in the company through Qualified Institutional Placement," Excel Infosways said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Shares of the company closed at Rs 24.90 a piece, down 0.60 per cent from its previous close on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The company had yesterday approved allotment of 1.01 lakh equity shares of Rs 10 each at a price of Rs 25.25 per equity share, to raise an issue size of Rs 25.70 crore, to Qualified Institutional Buyers under Qualified Institutions Placement.
