Rolta acquires US-based OneGIS

Information technology company Rolta on Monday said it has acquired US-based IT consulting firm OneGIS for an undisclosed amount.

MUMBAI: Information technology company Rolta on Monday said it has acquired US-based IT consulting firm OneGIS for an undisclosed amount.

"In addition to gaining a consulting track-record, Rolta has acquired the company's intellectual property," the Indian firm said in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Technical expertise of OneGIS will significantly expand Rolta's current geospatial fusion service offerings by adding substantial consulting and domain expertise in utilities and telecommunications, the company said.

"The strategic acquisition of OneGIS will greatly enhance our ability to provide innovate solutions to the utility, telecommunications and government markets," Rolta chairman and CEO KK Singh said.

Shares of Rolta today closed at Rs 192.40, down by 0.39 per cent on the BSE.
