R Systems FY07 profit zooms to Rs 18.97 crore

Software and BPO services company R Systems has registered a two fold increase in its net profit for the year ended December 31, 2007 at Rs 18.97 crore, as compared to Rs 7.82 crore in the corresponding period of 2006.

NEW DELHI: Software and BPO services company R Systems on Monday said it has registered a two fold increase in its net profit for the year ended December 31, 2007 at Rs 18.97 crore, as compared to Rs 7.82 crore in the corresponding period of 2006.

The profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 was Rs 6.91 crore, as compared to a loss of Rs 6.56 crore in the same period last year.

"We have achieved record revenues and profits in FY 2007..... Subject to shareholders' approval, we intend to increase dividend to 18 per cent," R Systems Chairman and Managing Director Rekhi Singh said.

The Board of Directors of R systems recommended a dividend of Rs 1.8 per share. This recommendation of the Board is subject to the approval of the shareholders at the forthcoming annual general meeting, he said.

R Systems added 20 new strategic customers during the year while during the quarter ended on December 31, he said.
