Philippines Bank partners with Infosys Finacle solution

BANGALORE: Infosys today announced Robinsons Bank, a growing commercial bank in the Philippines, has selected Infosys Finacle as its transformation partner to support its branch network expansion and business growth.

With the new technology transformation programme, Robinsons Bank will consolidate and connect the multiple existing systems in use at the bank and aim to reduce cost of operations across all its branches, Infosys Finacle Global Head M Haragopal said in a statement here.

"Finacle is already collaborating with nine banks in The Philippines to accelerate their transformation and growth. And we hope to bring all that experience into Robinsons bank to help them run their operations efficiently and build a progressive bank for tomorrow," he said.

Finacle will address key challenges including the need for effective localisation of the solution and offer best-in- class user support while bringing down the high cost of implementation and hardware upgrades, Haragopal said.

Robinsons Bank Chief Operating Officer Angelito V Evangelista said the bank chose Finacle core banking and treasury solutions to modernise its technology infrastructure and support its growth agenda, without inflating total cost of ownership.
