PUNE: Nihilent Technologies, which is planning to go public, is looking to expand its presence in India through acquisitions. "We plan to expand our presence in India, and rather than start operations from scratch, we will be looking at tie-ups and eventual acquisitions," said cofounder and COO Minoo Dastur. In September, the Pune-headquartered company had acquired a controlling stake in Mumbai-based SAP consultancy Intellect Bizware for an undisclosed amount.

The IT services company is said to be looking at raising Rs 350 crore, though Dastur declined to confirm the amount. At present, 70 per cent of the company is owned by Hatch Investments (Mauritius).
