NASSCOM to meet FM for pre-budget consultations

NEW DELHI: The members of the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) will meet Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on June 2, 2009, to put forward their demands for the sector."We will be meeting the FM and discuss our demands with him for the current fiscal," NASSCOM President Som Mittal said.

However, Mittal did not divulge the demands to be put forward by the $70-billion IT industry; but he said the extension of software technology park benefits, which exempts the export revenue from income tax, is high on the agenda.
