Mindtree former VP Amit Varma joins Infosys

BENGALURU: India's second largest software exporter Infosys has hired former Mindtree vice president and consulting head Amit Varma to bolster its digital transformation business.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Varma will be based in Santa Clara, California and joined the Bangalore-based company earlier in March. Varma also headed the digital marketing practice at Mindtree during his 12-year stint at the company.

Over the past six months since Vishal Sikka took over as chief executive, he has made a number of key hires in the US and other global locations to strengthen Infosys’s front-end teams and poached a number of top executives from his former company SAP AG such as Ritika Suri, Michael Reh, Abdul Razack and Navin Budhiraja.
