Karnataka likely to triple IT workforce by 2025

The state is looking to increase the IT contribution to domestic IT products/services revenue from the current 17% to 25% by 2025. It also expects to have over 20,000 startups, a four fold jump by 2025 from the 5,000 startups, he said at a press conference to announce Bengaluru Tech Summit from November 29 to December 1.
The state will also host the “Humane Code” global virtual hackathon, an effort by global coding communities to solve problems faced by humanity, that has so for attained the distinction of being the largest and most diverse hackathon ever held. Twenty best entries shall get a total prize money of $20,800 and a chance to visit Bengaluru during the summit.
The event will run under the theme, ‘INNOVATION & IMPACT’ and will witness the participation of countries like Finland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Estonia, Japan, Australia and the Czech Republic.
