MUMBAI: Cyient said it bought Singapore-based Global Services Engineering Asia, from global aerospace giant Pratt & Whitney, as it bulks up its aerospace services business.

Global Services Engineering provides repairs, development and validation for aero gas turbine engine components for Pratt & Whitney throughout the region.

“We are committed to growing our Aerospace aftermarket services in the region and expanding our reach into other industries within Singapore. This marks a significant step forward for Cyient in shaping our vision for the future,” Krishna Bodanapu, CEO of Cyient, said in a statement. The company did not disclose the size of the acquisition.

ET had reported earlier this week that Cyient expects to close at least two acquisitions in this financial year. In January, it had bought Rangsons Engineering.

The deal is structured as an asset purchase and is expected close at the end of August.
