IT CEOs like Vishal Sikka are earning several times the median employee remuneration

At a time when entry-level IT salaries have stagnated, IT CEOs are earning several hundreds to a thousand times the median employee remuneration at their firms, reports Jochelle Mendonca. Shareholders at TCS and Infosys have already begun querying the payments, which they consider exorbitant. Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka is paid the most, and has the highest ratio of CEO compensation to median employee remuneration. Wipro’s CEO is paid the least, and has the lowest ratio of CEO compensation to employee remuneration. IT fresher salaries have been within the Rs 2.5-3.5-lakh per-annum range for several years.
