Indiasoft 2009, the flagship event of Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) will kick off on Thursday in Kolkata.

The two-day event will showcase IT capabilities of over 70 Indian companies mostly from small and medium enterprises to a select group of foreign buyers and domestic companies.

The ninth edition of the Indiasoft and the first to be organized in Kolkata, will bring together more than 500 industry representatives including IT entrepreneurs, professionals, representatives of the foreign governments and companies including multinational corporations.

The event will give a unique opportunity to the stakeholders of IT to meet and discuss the innovative technologies, concepts and newer ideations for beating the slowdown blues, that are sweeping over the world in the IT landscape.

To ensure that there is cross-fertilization of ideas, ESC has organized a panel discussion on IT opportunities Globally-Looking Ahead, which will bring together a galaxy of IT experts from all over the world.
