KUALA LUMPUR: Top Indian IT company Infosys Technologies will conduct knowledge transfer training courses for Malaysian lecturers through a Campus Connect Programme (CCP).
Under an agreement signed today between Malaysia's Multimedia Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (MDeC) and Infosys, the IT giant will impart courseware, training methodology, laboratory guides, case studies, student assignments and other training artefacts for use by MDeC and CCP partner universities in Malaysia.
"MDeC, in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, aims to use this industry programme to develop sustainable global talent for Malaysia," MDeC said in a statement today.
It said this was aimed at transforming the southeast Asian country into a regional hub for ICT (Information and Communication Technology) talents.
At least 15 universities had been shortlisted as CCP Partner Universities for the phase one implementation of the programme in Malaysia. The universities were expected to commence training operations by July this year.
