Infosys to provide banking software to HBTF

IT major Infosys Technologies said it has partnered with Jordan-based The Housing Bank for Trade and Finance to provide core banking solution to power the bank's customer care agenda.

MUMBAI: IT major Infosys Technologies today said it has partnered with Jordan-based The Housing Bank for Trade and Finance ( HBTF) to provide core banking solution to power the bank's customer care agenda.

The IT solution would empower the bank's 112 home country branches with a unified, future-proof technology platform delivering all the benefits of support for multi-currency transactions, Infosys Technologies said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Infosys banking solution -- Finacle -- would institutionalise its retail and corporate client relationships and exponentially enhance its service experience.

"We selected Finnacle for its rich functionality, proven flexibility and unmatched delivery track record. We are confident this partnership with Finacle will enable us to delight and grow our customer base," HBTF Chairman Michel Marto said.

HBTF provides commercial banking services. It has subsidiaries in Algeria and Syria. In addition, the bank opened representative offices in the UAE, Libya and Iraq.

Shares of Infosys today closed at Rs 2,838.45 on the BSE, up 0.89 per cent from previous close.
