Infosys to be replaced by Facebook in Nasdaq 100
The shifting of the listing was with the stated intent of giving European investors better access to its shares.

BANGALORE: Shares of Infosys will be replaced by those of social networking website Facebook in the Nasdaq 100, the US stock exchange said in a statement on Wednesday.
Share volumes and market capitalisation are two of the required criteria for being included in the exclusive list, besides being continuously listed on the exchange. Infosys, last Friday, announced that it would shift its American Depository Shares from Nasdaq to New York Stock Exchange.
The shifting of the listing was with the stated intent of giving European investors better access to its shares. Through the NYSE Euronext platform, Infosys will look at getting listed on the Paris and London exchanges of NYSE Euronext, the company had said in a statement.
Infosys was first Indian company to get listed on Nasdaq in 1999.
