Infosys raises salary of CFO MD Ranganath

Ranganath's compensation has been raised to $1.3 million with effect from July. That includes a fixed salary of $0.7 million and variable of $0.6 million.

Infosys raises salary of CFO MD Ranganath
BENGALURU: Infosys CFO MD Ranganath will relocate to the US for a few quar ters to assist CEO Vishal Sikka in set ting up new development centres and oversee US hiring. Consequently, Ranganath's compensation has been raised to $1.3 million with effect from July. That includes a fixed salary of $0.7 million and variable of $0.6 million. In 2016-17, his total compensation stood at $0.7 million.

Asked about the relocation, Sikka said, “Ranga used to run my office when I took over. He was based in the US for the first 5-6 quarters. If you look at what we are doing in the US, there is a lot going on -we are hiring 10,000 employees in the US and we have to change the processes and benefits. There is a significant shift, we need his help there.“ Infosys is also in the process of setting up four technology and innovation hubs in the US.
