Infosys appoints Stanford professor John Etchemendy as independent member of board
BENGALURU: Infosys has appointed Stanford professor John Etchemendy as an independent member of the board, further deepening the engagement between CEO Vishal Sikka’s alma mater and the Bengaluru-based second largest software exporter in India.

Etchemendy is a faculty member of the symbolic systems programme and a senior researcher at the school’s Centre for the Study of Language and Information. “Professor Etchemendy is an extraordinary teacher to me and countless other students,” said Sikka, who is also Infosys’ managing director. “His joining will help us reinvent our core foundation of learning.”
