Infosys appoints CRISIL MD Roopa Kudva as independent board member

BENGALURU: IT major Infosys has appointed Roopa Kudva, the managing director of ratings company CRISIL as an independent board member, the company informed the stock exchange.

Under Kudva, CRISIL launched a financial inclusion index for India, set up offices in Argentina, China and Poland and entered proprietary research abroad through its acquisition of UK based Coalition Development, Infosys said in a filing.

She was earlier the head of Crisil's ratings business and is a part of many policy level committees including that of the Securities and Exchange Board of India and the Reserve Bank of India.
