The share of big European IT firms - including Capgemini, T-Systems, British Telecom and Atos - dropped to 16.4 per cent, from 22.3 per cent. The firm could not provide similar proportional data for the total contract value, but given past trends and the extent of gains in the number of contracts this year, it would be reasonable to assume that Indian IT has also gained in the value market share.
US firms registered a growth in share to 18.1 per cent from 16.7 per cent, as per data from IT outsourcing advisory firm ISG.
