IBM India elevates Chaitanya N Sreenivas to HR head

Since 2006, he has been leading HR delivery and HR practices with responsibilities for various functions across countries and regions.

Chaitanya N Sreenivas has been appointed the vice president and HR head for IBM India and South Asia. Prior to this role, Sreenivas was director, HR for IBM Global Technology Services (GTS) India and South Asia.

His roles and responsibilities entailed thought leadership, strategy and support to the GTS Business Unit to help it grow and evolve into a mature center with Global Delivery Capabilities while also working on the larger India strategy.

Having joined IBM in 2003, he has been a significant part of IBM’s transformation and in ensuring a new-collar skill based agile workforce.


He began his career in the financial sector as a senior consultant with Arthur Anderson in New York and has since then led business teams across geographies.

Since 2006, he has been leading HR delivery and HR practices with responsibilities for various functions across countries and regions. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from The Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts as well as a Bachelor of Science and an Economics degree from Cornell University, New York.
