Hinduja Global US arm to buy Deloitte's healthcare BPO business

MUMBAI: BPO firm Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS) today said its US subsidiary has inked an asset purchase agreement with Deloitte to purchase its healthcare revenue cycle outsourcing business (EBOS) for an undisclosed amount.

"HGS Inc, the US subsidiary of HGS Ltd has executed an asset purchase agreement with Deloitte Consulting and Deloitte Consulting Extended Business Services for purchase of its healthcare revenue cycle outsourcing business (EBOS)," HGS said in a filing to the BSE.

The EBOS business comprises of accounts receivable processing services and insurance eligibility verification services, it added.

EBOS has several US hospitals as its clients and the transaction will provide HGS Inc access to these hospitals.

"The transaction is expected to result in incremental revenue of $11 million. HGS Inc plans to close the all-cash transaction in early October," it added.

HGS has significant presence in healthcare sector and the transaction will further strengthen its ability to deliver outsourcing services to hospital/provider segment, the filing said.

The BSE-listed HGS' revenues stood at Rs 171.90 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012, while its net profit was Rs 10.09 crore during the same period.
