Hinduja Global Solutions acquires Canada’s Online Support Inc for $78 million

Hinduja Global Solutions has acquired Canada-based customer relationship management company Online Support Inc (OLS) for $78 million in an all cash deal.

BANGALORE: Hinduja Global Solutions has acquired Canada-based customer relationship management company Online Support Inc (OLS) for $78 million in an all cash deal.

HGS financed 100% acquisition of the common stock of OLS using cash on hand. Partha De Sarkar, CEO, HGS said, “The Canadian market growing and has many new opportunities.

This will also be an entry into media vertical for us. “The company is looking to refinance part of the acquisition (about $35 million 40 million) and is in talks with banks, he added. OLS is a contact centre provider servicing marquee customers across verticals such as media, telecom, technology and BFSI. “OLS offers technical support, inbound and outbound sales, customer care and customer retention in English and French languages and has over 1,650 seats at 10 sites in Canada,” it said.

In FY 2011, OLS had a turnover of $66 million and currently has 1,800 employees . The 11-year-old BPO has five clients, including Virgin Telecom, American Express and Apple Inc.
