Genpact bags Unitech Wire deal

Back-office services provider Genpact on Friday said it has bagged a five-year contract from telecom operator Unitech Wireless to provide multiple customer service solutions to the latter.

NEW DELHI: Back-office services provider Genpact on Friday said it has bagged a five-year contract from telecom operator Unitech Wireless to provide multiple customer service solutions to the latter. The BPO firm, however, did not disclose the size of the contract. Under the five-year contract, Genpact will deploy customer service solutions for Unitech Wireless in North India through its operation centre in Jaipur.

���Our deep understanding of enterprise-wide business processes will help us serve Unitech Wireless and we look forward to a long and productive relationship,��� Genpact chief executive CEO Pramod Bhasin said.in a company statement.

Unitech Wireless executive vice-president (marketing) David Meneghello said, ���Outsourcing of equipment, services, back-end technology and processes has allowed us to do things differently from others. WithGenpact as our partner, we will build the quality of customer service as the strongest differentiator in the current competitiveenvironment.���

Genpact���s customer service practice supports more than 10 global enterprises, including companies in the telecom, BFSI, automotive and manufacturing. Unitech Wireless is a joint venture firm of real estate major Unitech and Norway-based Telenor Group that operates under the brand Uninor.
