Former CEO to buy Firstsource stake in technology startup

Ananda Mukerji, the former CEO of Firstsource Solutions, will buy out the BPO services provider's stake in a technology start-up it incubated two years ago.

MUMBAI: Ananda Mukerji, the former CEO of Firstsource Solutions, will buy out the BPO services provider's stake in a technology start-up it incubated two years ago.

Mukerji and former Firstsource chief technical officer Sanjiv Dalal will be co-promoters in the venture, Anunta, which does cloud-based application delivery, officials said.

Mukerji, who is still on the Firstsource board as non-executive vice-chairman, said it would be premature to comment because the deal was yet to be completed. "It is still under discussion," he said. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Anunta website lists both Mukerji and Dalal as promoters, and two former Firstsource employees in its senior management team. In October, the RP-Sanjiv Goenka group announced it was acquiring 49.5% in Firstsource for Rs 400 crore. Anunta was not part of the deal.
