Firstsource acquires US health claims outsourcing co
BPO firm Firstsource Solutions (formerly ICICI OneSource) has announced that it has completed the acquisition of BPM, a Delaware-based healthcare claims outsourcing company.

BANGALORE: BPO firm Firstsource Solutions (formerly ICICI OneSource) has announced that it has completed the acquisition of BPM, a Delaware-based healthcare claims outsourcing company.
The acquisition includes BPM’s two wholly-owned operating subsidiaries, MedPlans 2000 and MedPlans Partners. This is the second acquisition of a US company by Firstsource. In September 2004, it had acquired Account Solutions Group.
According to company sources, the acquisition will help Firstsource bolster its proposition in the healthcare vertical with enhanced capabilities in complex claims adjudication. “The healthcare vertical is one of our three focus verticals and represents a high growth area.
This acquisition gives us enhanced capabilities in claims adjudication that is complimentary to our current capabilities. We also acquire marquee customers which provide a good opportunity to cross sell,” Ananda Mukerji, MD & CEO, Firstsource said.
