The partnership is part of an on-going global channel expansion strategy gaining momentum across Europe, the Middle East and Africa ( EMEA). As a part of this strategy, the company will continue to work on expanding the channel footprint in India through an industry-specific approach and recruit partners who have specialised domain knowledge in sectors such as manufacturing. Epicor plans to recruit 30 partners in India over the next two years.
"In EMEA, we have already recruited over 25 new partners so far - four of these are from India and we are looking at increasing this number," said Anish Kanaran, channel director for Epicor in Middle East, Africa and India.
As an Epicor channel partner Orient Technologies will offer Epicor enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution in India. Epicor globally has about 20,000 buyers for its ERP solution. Orient joins a list of new Epicor partners which includes Daksha, Atna and RheinBrucke.
"We are confident that our partnership with Epicor will add value to our service offering and benefit our clients," said Satish Gaonkar, CEO for Orient Technologies India, in the statement. "We believe Epicor's increased focus on the Indian market brings variety for the mid-market ERP segment."
Kanaran added, "India is a key market for us and a focus area for the next five years."
