Educomp bags Rs 67.93 cr order from Maharashtra govt

NEW DELHI: IT education solutions provider Educomp today said its ICT division 'Edureach' has bagged an order worth Rs 67.93 crore from Maharashtra government for implementing its solutions.

Educomp Edureach has received the Letter of Intent (LoI) on March 9, 2011 from the Government of Maharashtra for implementation of ICT@Schools Project - Phase 2 in two regions, Nasik and Latur, Educomp said in a statement.

The order covers 540 secondary and higher secondary schools from class V to XII and is worth Rs 67.93 crore, it added.

The project will be implemented in build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) model for a period of five years.

The scope of work includes supply and maintenance of computer hardware, software and lab accessories, provision for computer faculty in each school, training of school teachers every year and deploying and running school management software.

"At Edureach, we use technology innovatively to spread education across socio-economic strata and across geographical boundaries," Edureach President Soumya Kanti said.
