Dell EMC to focus on smart manufacturing, energy biz

Dell EMC Technologies is tapping into new verticals such as smart manufacturing and energy to expand its business in India in 2019, said a senior executive.

Besides these two sectors, the company’s government and smart city projects are driving its growth in India, said KC Choi, senior vice president at Global Enterprise Systems Engineering division. The company has partnered with system integrators and application providers for this, he said. It is also working with the government on initiatives like GST.

“The SBI has also partnered with us to consolidate 25,000 branches by the company’s data centres (along with NSE and BSE),” said Rajesh Janey, Managing Director-Enterprise, India, Dell EMC.
