Crestron Asia inks deal with 02K Technologies

BANGALORE: Crestron Asia today announced a strategic alliance with O2K Technology Services to offer end- to-end integrated building technology solutions in India.

"Our alliance with 02K Technologies is aimed at bringing the best technology available in the US to India," Kanny Leong, Director of Crestron Asia, Asian arm of the US- Crestron Electronics Inc, headquartered , told reporters here.

"Besides offering end-to-end solutions, we will offer regular technical training and certification programmes for like-minded system integrators and engineers across India," he said.

Crestron is a provider of control and automation systems for homes, offices, schools, hospitals and hotels.

To showcase efficacy of Crestron IBT solutions, city-based 02K has set up a ' Smart Home' here with an investment of Rs 3 crore that showcases the latest in audio-visual technologies in combination with Crestron control systems and green energy concepts.

It has also deployed lighting control, occupancy sensors and high-end audio-video distribution systems integrated with smart user interfaces such as iPads, iPhones and Android devices.

"This enables easy, secure and complete control of the system not just from home, but from remote as well," O2K Technology Services Director (Business Support) A S Azharuddin said.

The company plans to additionally invest Rs 15 crore into the 'Smart Home' project over the next 24 months, O2K Managing Director Premkumar said.
