Cognizant names CEO Francisco D’Souza vice chairman of the board
Last month, ET had reported that Elliott Management had exited the company, after pushing the Teaneck, New Jersey-headquartered IT player to make changes to its business.

“I would like to recognize Francisco for his remarkable contributions since he was named CEO in 2007. Since he assumed the role, Cognizant has grown more than seven-fold, to a Fortune 200 company with nearly $15 billion in revenues in 2017….We all look forward to Francisco's continued contributions to the company," John Klein, chairman of Cognizant said.
