Capgemini to strengthen global senior talent pool from India

Bengaluru: French IT services major Capgemini plans to strengthen the senior talent pool for its global markets as the company steps up work on emerging technology areas across facilities in India.

The company said expanding the senior talent pool from India is one of the three key priorities of India chief executive officer Ashwin Yardi.

“Third (area of focus) is how can we further expand the senior group talent pool from India,” said Yardi, adding that Capgemini hired Nisheeth Srivastava as chief technology and innovation officer with a significant exposure to the startup sector. Srivastava has founded three tech startups and mentored many.


Yardi, who took over as the CEO from Srinivas Kandula in December last year, added that it has been a “very different” year and the whole idea is how can the company drive a startup culture across 1,00,000 people in India. Srivastava has been working with global teams that focus on artificial intelligence-based solutions and some clients.

Analysts said the IT services major has remained focused on talent contribution from India and elevated some leaders such as Aruna Jayanthi, Srinivas Kandula and others to senior positions globally.
