Capgemini rolls out ERP system for GMDC

AHMEDABAD: Capgemini today announced that its integrated solutions system has gone live at state venture Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Limited (GMDC). Capgemini’s ERP based solution offering has enabled automation of the company’s existing processes, across functions such as finance, sales, purchase, inventory, manufacturing, maintenance, HR & payroll and administration, read a media statement by the state venture.

GMDC MD VS Gadhavi, said “The company has taken a major initiative towards e-governance by implementing an ERP system called ‘i-mine’ in a big bang approach across the corporate office and all mining locations for all business functions.”

Apart from internal benefits, the solution has also enabled online order booking for GMDC’s customers. The solution will assist the 1000+ employees of GMDC across 12 locations in Gujarat, including the mines operated by the Company. Capgemini won the mandate amidst intense product and vendor evaluation by GMDC to meet their business needs.
